Here at Clarobe, feeding time is more than just opening a can of Felix!

We take the nutritional needs of our British Shorthair cats very seriously and that is why we decided in 2005 to start to feed all of our cats and kittens a 100 % Raw Food Diet. The basics of the diet were first pioneered by a system of feeding more commonly known as the BARF Diet. For more information on the BARF diet please click the link below. You will be taken through to The UK BARF CLUB Website.
BARF Diet
BARF stands for Bones And Raw Food or Biologically Appropriate Raw Food, depending on which books you read. The basic principle is to feed a diet that the animals have evolved to eat, or to put it another way AS NATURE INTENDED.

Some people disagree with BARF, but the more information you gain the more it makes sense. It is advisable to do your own research in order to make up your own mind.
Dogs and cats in the wild lived off whole carcasses including the internal organs, and the content of the stomach which usually contains ground down, partially digested vegetation containing essential nutrients.

A BARF feeding diet is as close to nature as we can get and with the right mix your pets will live a happier healthy life.

We are lucky to live very close to a shop that specialises in the supply of RAW Food for Dogs and Cats.

This allows us to provide our Feline Family with a varied diet, including Chicken, Turkey, Pheasent, Rabbit, Fish, Beef and Heart and much more. The name of the shop is 'Nurturing by Nature'.

We also understand that some owners will not want to continue feeding their new kitten
Raw Food. So to ensure proper kitten development that is not hindered by a cats reliance on any one food type, we introduce Felix and Whiskas to the kittens diet before they leave us.

This ensures the kittens digestive system is fully prepared for
both styles of feeding - Commercial and Raw Food.
